Empire Metals (LSE:EEE) holds a ‘strong’ cash position of £8.4 million ($16.05 million), which Managing Director Shaun Bunn says will support the accelerated path to commercialise the Pitfield Project in Western Australia.
This news comes after Empire raised £11.5 million via two capital raises and listed its shares on the FTSE AIM 100 index in September 2025.
As previously reported, the Pitfield Project contains a resource of 2.2 billion tonnes @ 5.1% titanium dioxide for 113 million tonnes – making it among the largest and highest grade titanium resources in the world.
Bunn says the resource upgrade confirms the unique scale and quality of the project.
“We also achieved a very high-purity titanium dioxide product, which further endorsed Pitfield’s potential as a strategically significant source of feedstock for titanium metal production,” the Managing Director says.
The high-purity titanium dioxide product assayed up to 99.25%, achieved through conventional beneficiation, leaching and refining processes.
In early March 2026, Empire also joined the 2026 Western Australia Critical Minerals Delegation to North America. The Western Australia Critical Minerals Delegation is a state-level initiative that aligns with, and builds upon, the federal Critical Minerals Framework signed between the US and Australia in October 2025.
Together, these initiatives reflect the strengthening strategic partnership between Australia and the US in the development of secure and sustainable critical minerals supply chains.
Empire Metals is an explorer and resource developer focused on the commercialisation of the Pitfield Titanium Project in Western Australia.
