Empire Metals (AIM:EEE) has appointed a general manager and senior advisor to support accelerating the development of the Pitfield Titanium Project in Western Australia.
Chris Dodds will become the company’s general manager, bringing extensive industry experience to strengthen Empire’s ability to deliver the project. Emma Neale will become senior advisor to manage the pathway to approvals across all levels of the project’s development.
These appointments align with Empire Metals’ objective to rapidly advance the Pitfield Project through the Feasibility Study phases towards commercial development.
Managing Director Shaun Bunn says both individuals bring the specialist project delivery and approvals expertise the company needs as it drives Pitfield through development.
“Building a strong in-house team has been central to the pace of our progress to date, and these appointments are the natural next step,” Bunn says.
As Mining.com.au reported, the company is set to conduct engineering studies at Pitfield as it assesses the capital and operating costs of building a plant.
An updated resource estimate is also expected to be completed this quarter.
In October 2025, Empire Metals delivered Pitfield’s maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE). The resource contains 2.2 billion tonnes (Bt) @ 5.1% titanium dioxide (TiO₂) for 113 million tonnes.
Ahead of conducting a MRE, Pitfield’s exploration target was estimated between 26.4 and 32.2Bt @ 4.5-5.5% TiO₂.
Empire Metals is an explorer and resource developer focused on the commercialisation of the Pitfield Titanium Project in Western Australia.
