McLaren Minerals (ASX:MML) has launched major drilling at the McLaren Titanium Project, 140km east of Norseman in Western Australia’s Goldfields-Esperance region.
McLaren hopes the 13km drilling campaign will explore potential at the McLaren deposit’s eastern shoreline target to unlock a new growth corridor.
Strategic drill lines will test both the previously identified eastern shoreline target and southwestern margin.
One possible outcome is a mineral resource estimate upgrade that includes the southern extent, along the strike. There is also potential to provide data to evaluate reserves, estimate a maiden ore reserve, perform economic studies, and develop a bankable feasibility study strategy.
“This program will [also] assist with confirming the development strategy for McLaren as well as look at potential upside to the south, east, and particularly at depth as we seek further confirmation of the high-grade lens identified during last year’s drilling program,” Managing Director Simon Finnis says.
The program is touted to enhance classification confidence, provide data for future reserve assessment, and expand the resource.
McLaren Minerals is an exploration and pre-development company with assets mainly in Western Australia’s Eucla Basin.
