Discovery unearths 4km mineralised system at Pamour

Discovery Mining (TSX:DSV) says drilling results confirm a 4km strike length of mineralisation at its Pamour Mine in Ontario, Canada, as part of a 255,000m to 285,000m exploration program.

The company completed 47 holes totalling 11,003.4m across four target areas, with results continuing to expand mineral resources across all three phases of the current open pit mine plan.

President and CEO Tony Makuch says the results demonstrate that Pamour is a large-scale deposit that has the potential for significant growth.

“Drilling results to date have been extremely successful in both confirming and expanding the existing resource and in returning high grade intersections at multiple targets,” Makuch says.

“The mineralising system at Pamour has been identified over a 4km extent at depths ranging from 300m to 700m, with the system remaining open.”

Current Pamour resources include 64.8 million tonnes (Mt) grading 1.3 grams per tonne gold (Au) for 2.7 million ounces (Moz) in the indicated category and 23.3Mt grading 1.34g/t Au for 1Moz in the inferred category.

Drilling targeted the Pamour pit, North Contact Zone, Pamour West, and Keora Trend areas. Significant results from the central portion of the pit include 3.05g/t Au over 30m, 2.08g/t Au over 24m, and 8.04g/t Au over 6.5m.

At Pamour West, located 4km west of the current resource, drilling returned significant intersections including 11.54g/t Au over 5.1m and 10.38g/t Au over 6.8m.

The North Contact Zone drilling program included 14 holes totalling 4,117m targeting an east-west trending volcanic sedimentary contact north of the phase two pit. Results include 6.84g/t Au over 8.5m and 4.27g/t Au over 12.8m.

Meanwhile, drilling along the Keora Trend, located 200m west of the phase two pit, intersected 17.36g/t Au over 5.9m from a vertical depth of approximately 350m.

Drilling is still ongoing, with three rigs operating across the Pamour open pit area, Pamour West target, and North Contact Zone.

Discovery is planning a new mineral resource estimate update later this year as part of ongoing resource conversion and extension work.

“The latest results provide further confirmation of the upside that exists and support our belief that we have an opportunity to transform Pamour into one of Canada’s largest open-pit gold mines,” Makuch says.

Discovery Mining is a growing precious metals company focused on gold, silver, and other critical minerals.
