Critica strengthens Jupiter’s development pathway

Critica (ASX:CRI) has submitted for a $1 million cash refund under the Australian Government’s Research and Development (R&D) tax incentive program, which supports the development of the Jupiter Rare Earth Project in Western Australia.

CEO Jacob Deysel says the R&D refund will further enhance the company’s cash position as it continues to advance the Jupiter Project through structured, results-driven testwork, and pilot programs.

In parallel, the company has applied to become a tier one partner of the Critical Metals for Critical Industries Cooperative Research Centre (CMCI CRC). The collaboration with CMCI CRC supports Critica’s programs for Jupiter. Further details of the program will be announced upon concluding the grant application process.

“Joining the CMCI CRC reflects our commitment to building Australia’s next rare earth business – one that is technically credible, commercially focused and aligned with the nation’s critical minerals future,” Deysel says.

“Through the CRC we expect to refine and pilot hydrometallurgical process routes to produce mixed rare earth product from beneficiated Jupiter ore, supporting a sustainable, high-value Australian rare earth supply chain.”

The CRC is a collaboration between government, industry, and academia to accelerate the delivery of industry and government objectives by providing viable and profitable refining initiatives for Australian-produced critical metals.

Critica is focused on advancing the Jupiter Project which is recognised as among Australia’s largest clay-hosted rare earths resources.
