Core Energy further advances understanding of Cummins

Core Energy Minerals (ASX:CR3) is advancing its understanding of structural alteration patterns of uranium mineralisation at the Cummins Project area in South Australia, via a 3,000m drilling program.

To date, 18 holes for 1,909m of drilling have been completed. The program aims to confirm historical intercepts, identify and understand the mineralised system, as well as provide geochemical vectors towards potential mineralisation.

Executive Director Tony Greenaway says initial scintillometer readings and soil sampling show gamma and scintillometer anomalies that confirms the presence of uranium and warrants further investigation.

“We look forward to receiving the pending assay results for these drillholes so that we can start to understand the scale of opportunity at this highly prospective region in South Australia, where we believe we are well-positioned for discovery of significant uranium mineralisation,” Greenaway says.

The Cummins Project sits in the Eyre Peninsula which is one of the highest radiometric regions of South Australia. The Eyre Peninsula hosts numerous known uranium occurrences and uranium deposits, including Alligator Energy’s (ASX:AGE) Samphire deposit.

Core Energy Minerals is a mineral explorer and developer focused on its uranium asset portfolio in Australia, Brazil, and Namibia.
