Copper Intelligence (OTC:CUAI) has added the Sampwe Copper Project to its portfolio in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and appointed Minxcon to support its technical reporting.
The company announced Sampwe on 15 September, saying the project was contributed under a definitive sale and purchase agreement signed on 4 February 2026.
Sampwe lies about 255km north of Lubumbashi in Haut-Katanga province, within the Central African Copperbelt. Exploration will target copper mineralisation associated with the Sonta Sandstone geological unit.
Copper Intelligence has not disclosed the consideration paid, its ownership interest in Sampwe or a mineral resource estimate for the project.
The announcement followed Minxcon’s appointment as the company’s technical adviser. The consultancy will provide technical oversight and assist with reporting under the US Securities and Exchange Commission’s S-K 1300 requirements.
Copper Intelligence says the work will support its current exploration program and preparations for a possible listing on a major US exchange. The company has not disclosed the value or duration of the Minxcon contract or provided a timetable for any proposed listing.
Copper Intelligence’s latest OTC Markets disclosure, dated 15 July, continues to list Enrique “Ric” Prado as a director. The company appointed Prado in April, describing him as a former CIA operations officer who spent 24 years with the agency.
Copper Intelligence is a US-traded copper explorer focused on the Butembo and Sampwe projects in the DRC.
