Connected Minerals (ASX:CML) is seeking to identify high-priority drilling targets at the Etango North-East Project in Namibia, for an upcoming maiden drilling program this quarter.
The company is in discussions with potential drilling companies with an aim to begin drilling imminently.
This news comes after the $9.65 million market capitalisation company completed a maiden trenching and sampling program at the Ondapanda prospect within Etango.
Connected is currently reviewing the results of the sampling and mapping of the trenches, in addition to the Scintillometer survey to identify drill targets.
CEO Warrick Clent says the results are within the same rock units as Bannerman Energy’s (ASX:BMN) Etango Uranium Project.

“These outstanding results, from a further 132 rock chip samples, extend the high-grade area of mineralisation identified by the company from our initial exploration program,” Clent says.
“Additionally, with three potential zones identified by the Scintillometer survey, we certainly have multiple targets to focus on in the coming months and build on this promising start.”
Connected Minerals completed a Scintillometer survey which comprised 13,750 survey points, highlighting three key areas of interest — the Ondapanda, Onkumbwa, and Pandula prospects.
Ondapanda, which measures 1,000m by 500m, extends the potential zone of mineralisation away from the currently known areas.
Meanwhile at Onkumbwa and Pandula, the survey highlighted further exploration to assess the potential of this new area.
Both Onkumbwa and Pandula are located on the edges of the survey area and show similar characteristics to zone one. The company is planning further exploration to test the possible extensions of these zones.
The Etango North-East Project, covering 30km2, is located in the western part of Namibia and is considered prospective for uranium.
Connected Minerals is an Australian mineral explorer focused on the discovery and development of its portfolio of projects in Namibia and Western Australia.
