Cobra marks board changes

Cobra Resources (LSE:COBR) has appointed Andrew Michelmore as a non-executive Chairman, following Greg Hancock stepping down from the board after eight years.

Michelmore brings more than 35 years of experience in senior roles in Australia and internationally within the metals and mining industry. He has served as the CEO of MMG (HKG:1208), Zinifex, Oz Minerals, and EN+.

He is also the current Chairman of the Minerals Council of Australia and advocate for Australia’s minerals industry. In 2017, Michelmore was awarded an Order of Australia in recognition of his leadership in the industry and his commitment to improving health and safety and environmental outcomes.

“I look forward to providing leadership in governance and strategy to advance the Boland and Manna Hill projects, taking them from discovery and towards production,” Michelmore says.

Cobra Resources is a South Australian critical minerals developer focused on advancing projects across the pre-production stage.

The Boland Project is among Australia’s only rare earth project suitable for in-situ recovery mining. Previously conducted laboratory in-situ recovery tests yield 66% recoveries with low acid consumption. The project also contains an initial high-quality mixed rare earth carbonate result at 62.4% total rare earth oxide.

Manna Hill contains multiple underexplored prospects with strong potential to deliver large-scale copper discoveries. The project is located in South Australia’s Nackara Arc — an unexplored region with proven porphyry-style mineralisation.
