Canagold Resources (TSX:CCM) has returned 4.62m @ 37.7 grams per tonne gold (Au) and 4.57% antimony (Sb) from its New Polaris Gold Project in British Columbia, Canada.
The interval starts at 489m down hole in NP26-10A and includes 1.96m @ 79.3g/t Au and 8.76% Sb. Within that, 0.66m grades 145.7g/t Au and 18.57% Sb.
The assays come from four more holes in the recently completed 14-hole, 7,277m resource infill and expansion program.
The program targets the ‘high-grade’ gold and antimony zone at the wholly owned project, about 100km south of Atlin and 60km northeast of Juneau, Alaska, US.
NP26-11 returned 9.44m @ 21.1g/t Au and 0.66% Sb from 250.41m, including 4.88m @ 37.2g/t Au and 1.29% Sb, and 0.84m @ 42.3g/t Au and 5.81% Sb. A deeper interval from 405.15m returned 2.85m @ 14.4g/t Au and 0.05% Sb.
NP26-13 returned 8.64m @ 5.4g/t Au and 0.01% Sub from 287.8m. However, the company abandoned both NP26-12 and NP26-13 before they reached the targeted mineralisation.
Intercepts are core lengths, as drilling and modelling do not yet define the true orientation of the veins. Further, most intercepts fall outside the current mineral resource model and mine plan.
CEO Catalin Kilofliski says the width of the mineralised system is becoming clearer with each hole.
“We are now seeing multiple high-grade intervals across successive drill holes, demonstrating the continuity and potential scale of this mineralization,” Kilofliski notes.
The current resource sits in a 2023 technical report by Moose Mountain Technical Services, filed under National Instrument 43-101. MSA Labs is conducting sample preparation and assaying.
