Calix (ASX:CXL) has completed the construction of its Mid-Stream Demonstration Plant to validate lithium extraction and processing, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
This demonstration plant is a joint venture with PLS Group (ASX:PLS), which was formerly known as Pilbara Minerals.
Calix, which has a market capitalisation of $140.13 million, will provide updates on commissioning and operating plans in due course.

Earlier this year, the Mid-Stream Demonstration Plant received a $15 million grant from Western Australian Premier Roger Cook, aiding the construction of a demonstration-scale electric spodumene calciner at PLS’s Pilgangoora Lithium Operation.
As reported by Mining.com.au, Calix recently executed a joint development agreement with mining giant Rio Tinto (ASX:RIO), funding more than $35 million in cash and in-kind support for the demonstration of the Zesty technology at the namesake demonstration plant in Kwinana, Western Australia.
Calix is a technology company focused on applying technology to the cement, steel, magnesia, alumina, critical minerals and direct air capture industries.
