Brookside Energy (ASX:BRK) has substantially completed construction of surface production facilities at its Suttles pad in Oklahoma ahead of an upcoming two-well drilling program.
The facilities are designed to process and support first sales of oil and gas from the planned Sabres 2-1-1S-3W SXH1 and Whalers 2-1-1S-3W WXH2 wells in the SWISH area of interest within the Anadarko Basin.
Brookside reports Kenai drilling rig 18 is also nearing release from its current program and will move directly to the Suttles pad thereafter, providing operational continuity.
Managing Director and CEO David Prentice says current production sequencing, which is designed to support a smooth transition from drilling and completion through to facility tie-in and first sales, has enabled the company to pre-mobilise productively.
“Rig 18 is coming to us as a working rig from an active program, which is a positive operational setup,” Prentice says.
“The rig and crew are already in the field, systems are active, and we expect that continuity to support an efficient transition to our location.”
The company says infrastructure preparations are also advancing, with Oklahoma Gas & Electric (NYSE:OGE) commencing electrical service work and Enerfin Gathering staking the pipeline route and progressing permits ahead of installation.
Under the upcoming program, the Sabres well will target the Sycamore formation, while the Whalers well will target the Woodford formation. Brookside notes that each well has been designed with an approximately 1.5-mile lateral section.
Brookside Energy is a US-focused oil and gas producer operating in the Anadarko Basin, one of North America’s most productive hydrocarbon regions.
