Auric Mining acquires infrastructure package for Burbanks

Auric Mining (ASX:AWJ) has acquired a package of processing infrastructure for $1.2 million to advance its Burbanks gold processing facility in Western Australia.

The acquisition of this processing infrastructure package is intended to maintain the study development timeline for the processing plant re-establishment. The processing plant is expected to be completed in Q1 2028.

The front-end fixed plant infrastructure supports an initial 600,000 tonnes per annum output for the Burbanks carbon-in-leach plant design, while also allowing a future expansion of up to 1.2 million tonnes per annum.

Processing infrastructure acquired includes a complete three-stage crushing circuit, a fine ore bin and conveyors, material handling equipment and shedding, as well as milling structure and associated infrastructure. It also includes all associated spare parts and consumables, two complete spare cone crushers, and one complete spare jaw crusher.

Auric describes the second plant, located in New South Wales, as being in “excellent condition”.

Equipment is expected to arrive on site in Western Australia in Q1 2027, with Auric engaging Interquip to commence removal and relocation activities for the infrastructure in Q4 2026.

Auric Managing Director Mark English says the company has been able to secure a substantial package that will allow a Burbanks rebuild at a “significant discount to replacement cost”.

“Importantly, it gives Auric immediate access to high-quality, critical crushing infrastructure and locks in both capital estimates and the development timeline used in our study,” English says.

“Together with the included spare equipment, parts, and consumables, the package is expected to reduce execution risk, future capital requirements, and the time needed to recommission the facility, representing an excellent outcome for shareholders.”

Auric Processing Manager Scott Bailey says the company identified the opportunity for the infrastructure acquisition through “extensive industry networks”, viewing it as a logical, cost-effective solution to assist in the Burbanks restart.

“Incorporating this equipment into the recommissioning process gives us further confidence in delivering the project on time and on budget,” Bailey says.

Auric Mining is an Australian gold producer focused on advancing the Munda gold deposit and redeveloping the Burbanks processing facility.
