Gold producer Ariana Resources (ASX:AA2) has declared the Tavşan Heap-Leach Project in Türkiye as fully operational, after receiving a final operating permit, allowing for loading of ore onto the heap-leach pads to commence.
Gold production from the heap-leach is expected to begin during the current quarter, once sufficient ore is loaded and leaching has started.
Ariana Resources, which has a market capitalisation of $87.1 million, says around 800,000 tonnes of ore is stockpiled and awaiting loading. Crushing has been underway since August 2025.
Managing Director Kerim Sener says with gold and silver prices continuing an upward trajectory, the timing of operations beginning could not be better.
“The start of heap-leaching operations at Tavşan is an important milestone and paves the way for sustained gold production from our interests in Türkiye, augmenting the existing production via the Kiziltepe carbon-in-leach processing plant,” Sener says.
The Tavşan Mine contains a measured, indicated, and inferred resource of 311,000 ounces gold and 1.1 million ounces of silver. The mine has a n eight-year mine life with potential for further enhancement.
Ariana Resources is a mineral explorer, developer, and producer focused on projects in Zimbabwe, Türkiye, Kosovo, and Cyprus.
