Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) has identified a ‘high-grade’ lode from its final batch of drilling results at the Minyari Gold-Copper Project in the Paterson province in Western Australia.
Returning 24.7m @ 1.4 grams per tonne gold and 0.07% copper from 39.3m, including 2.3m @ 6.8g/t gold and 0.18% copper from 39.3m, the lode was discovered 65m north of Fiama.
The company says drilling also returned ‘high-grade’ intersections 250m north of the Minyari Dome deposit, with results including 12.2m @ 1.2g/t gold and 0.04% copper from 623m, including 7.2m @ 2g/t gold and 0.06% copper from 628m.
Other drilling highlights include 44m @ 0.07% copper from 40m to end-of-hole (EOH), including 12m @ 0.13% copper from 72m to EOH at Yolanda; ‘high-grade’ re-splits with 1m @ 39.8g/t gold from 46m south of Rizzo-Fiama; and 146m @ 0.3g/t gold and 0.07% copper from 94m at RPS.
Drilling results will be incorporated into an updated resource estimate, which is expected to be returned this month, with drilling at Yolanda confirming a 1.2km long anomalous copper trend.
The resource update will form the basis of a Prefeasibility Study, with current workstreams focused on refining and de-risking the development opportunity and advancing permitting work.
Managing Director Roger Mason says returning multiple new gold discoveries in the final batch of assay is a “tremendous way to wrap up last year’s drilling program”.
“The identification of a new high-grade lode at Fiama and confirmation of a large-scale northern repeat structure strongly indicate the potential for additional Minyari style deposits to emerge close to the immediate development footprint,” Mason says.
“This reinforces the opportunity we have to materially grow the mineral resource base around future planned infrastructure.
“At the same time, intersecting thick copper mineralisation across a potential 1.2km open trend at Yolanda is a major breakthrough, highlighting the presence of a previously unrecognised, potentially very large scale, copper system beneath shallow cover.
“Importantly, planning for CY2026 drilling is well advanced, and field activities are set to commence this quarter, providing further discovery and mineral resource growth opportunities.”
