Antipa Minerals (ASX:AZY) reports gold-copper-lead-silver mineralisation now extends across 2.2km of strike at its Tim’s Dome prospect in Western Australia’s Paterson Province.
The fourth batch of phase-one results comprises 13 reverse circulation (RC) holes for 3,073m at the 100%-owned Minyari Dome Gold-Copper Project.
Six holes tested areas immediately above and adjacent to an untested airborne electromagnetic (AEM) conductor extending 1.2km, with widths between 200m and 470m.
The conductor lies 270–340m below surface and remains untested. Diamond drilling from surface has commenced to test it directly.
Managing Director Roger Mason says the results continue to build the scale of the mineralised system at Tim’s Dome.
“This latest set of drilling results has continued to build the scale of the mineralised system at Tim’s Dome, with gold-copper-lead-silver mineralisation now identified across approximately 2.2km of strike,” Mason adds.
“We continue to see mineralisation and strong pathfinder anomalism immediately above and adjacent to the large AEM conductor. That conductor remains the key target, and after attempting to extend the RC holes with diamond tails, we have now begun diamond core drilling from surface to test it directly.”
Notable intersections include 30m @ 0.5 grams per tonne gold (Au) from 180m in hole 26XTDC0068, including 3m @ 1.7g/t Au from 189m and 1m @ 3.5g/t Au from 202m. Hole 26XTDC0074 returned 20m @ 0.5g/t Au from 36m, including 1m @ 6.5g/t Au from 53m.
Maximum 1m grades from the batch reached 8.11g/t Au, 0.65% copper, 0.54% lead, and 2.08g/t silver. The presence of lead represents a distal signature for intrusion-related, Telfer-style mineral systems.
Tim’s Dome sits 30km southwest of Antipa’s Minyari Dome development opportunity and 11km from Greatland Resources’ (ASX:GGP) Telfer gold-copper-silver mine. It hosts a mineral resource estimate of 110,000 ounces of gold.
Two rigs remain active at Tim’s Dome and Minyari Dome, with the aircore rig demobilised in early September. Antipa has completed 314 phase-one holes for 37,225m to date.
The company has been awarded a $180,000 Western Australian Government Exploration Incentive Scheme (EIS) grant to co-fund diamond core drilling at Tim’s Dome.
