Anson Resources (ASX:ASN) reports that it has identified additional new Clastic Zones at its Cane Creek 31-2 Well following ongoing resource expansion drilling activities at its Paradox Lithium Project in Utah, US.
The additional Clastic Zones (41, 43, 45, and 47) were discovered after drilling passed through the old casing of the Cane Creek 32-1 Well while drilling down to the well’s hosted Mississippian unit targets.
Samples taken from these zones Clastic Zones have returned the presence of supersaturated brines similar to the previously sampled Clastic Zones where a JORC Indicated and Inferred Resource has now been confirmed.
The company also notes that these additional sampled zones have the potential to support the upcoming Resource upgrade at Paradox and deliver new Indicated and Inferred Resources that are not included within the project’s existing JORC Resource or Exploration Target.

In addition, the company reports that the assay data from these recent rock chip samples are expected to provide additional geological information on the brine horizons within the project area, which can then be sampled in future exploration programs.
The Paradox Lithium Project covers a total land tenure of 95km-square, which is prospective for sodium bromide and lithium mineralisation.
The project currently boasts a JORC Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) of 186,000 tons LCE and also uses direct lithium extraction processes.
With the Resource expansion drilling program still ongoing, Anson announces that samples taken from these additional Clastic Zones have been sent for quick turn-around laboratory analysis and are expected to be included in the future JORC Resource upgrades.
