ABx Group (ASX:ABX) has marked a major milestone in the development of its ALCORE Pilot Plant, announcing the purchase of all key equipment to begin operation. In this interview, Managing Director Mark Cooksey explains how this move transitions the project from bench-scale testing to a factory-scale setup at Bell Bay, Tasmania. With specialised reactors and process equipment now locked in, ABx is well on the path toward commissioning in early 2026.
Cooksey highlights the significance of this step, calling it one of the most important in ALCORE’s history. Over the next 6–8 months, engineering finalisation, manufacturing, and delivery will unfold, with regular updates expected. This progress reinforces ABx’s confidence in its unique process to extract critical rare earth elements from fertiliser waste — setting the stage for a commercial breakthrough.
